Hello...

T'Keya Isom

T’Keya Isom is a Charlotte native pursuing her masters degree at Winthrop University. She is currently interning with Unapologetically U as she works to become a LCSW. She has a passion for mental health which led her to become a certified mental health aid and community health worker. As a former high school biology teacher, she saw the need for more support in the mental health field to help empower minority youth to see the potential for greatness within themselves. She understands the different perspectives of the world and how they can create barriers and challenges that we’d much rather not have to face.  She hopes to empower everyone that she meets to embrace their experiences, understand their uniqueness, and be themselves unapologetically. She believes that we all hold a divine piece in this interconnecting web we call life. With every story we share a breakthrough is made.
